Why would you do this to me Microsoft?
So it was about three years ago that I bought my xbox, December 25th 2006 to be exact. After saving up my money, trading in my old xbox and getting my giftcard for cristmas, I finally got it! I have been playing xbox almost everyday since then.
I love playing 360 games, shooting twelve year olds in the face online makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, but there have been moments which I will admit I was quite unsatisfied. The most prominent memory would have to be from this last cristmas, where after turning on my xbox 360 I was treated to the sight of my 360 freezing on the opening cinimatic. So my holiday is screwed, but hell, whats two weeks to have it repaired? I’ll still be able to play right? WRONG.
as it turns out, after multiple attempts to “see if it was just an error” my console decided to throw up the E 71 error, aka the one that is only covered by the two year warenty I bought with my console. Now this may seem pretty simple, a “sucks to be you situation, but you know why exactly Im bitching? This is my fourth 360, over the last three years I have had to send whichever system I had at the time for repair, and each time I got a refurbished console. So is fair that the console they sent me is under my first consoles warranty? I have had this console for less than two years, but Microsoft cant replace it because the warranty is out for my first console, which I haven’t seen for two or more years? anyone else find this to be a bit unfair? I dont have the cash to pay for the repairs, I live in a certain “Corperation” concerning “Jobs” and make next to nothing, and all of that goes into what little savings I have.
Honestly though? it doesn’t really matter. Im still going to play xbox, hell I have been every chance Ive gotten. If my original harddrive dying didn’t stop me this sure as hell wont, but I still wish I hadn’t gotten shafted like this.
